Crockpot Prepared Peanuts

Tailgate Food: Crockpot Boiled Peanuts

  • Raw peanuts, as many as you can fit in the crockpot
  • Water, enough to float the peanuts
  • Salt, 8-9 tablespoons
  • *Seasoning, optional

 Rinse the raw peanuts several times to remove any dirt. Place the rinsed raw peanuts into a crockpot/slow cooker. Add water to the pot, enough to float the peanuts, leaving at least 1" room at the top of the pot. Add salt, about 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) of salt per gallon of water. Cook on low for 10 hours.
