Crockpot Apple Pie Oatmeal

CrockPot Recipe for Make-Ahead Apple Pie Oatmeal Recipe

Ingredients

  • granny smith apples (large, seeds removed and coarsely chopped, no need to peel them)
  • 21/2 tbsps sugar (Splenda, or Stevia in the Raw, depending on how sweet you like it)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (or use 1 more tablespoon of sweetener if you don't want to use sugar)
  • cinnamon (3/4 tsp.)
  • salt (1/2 tsp.)
  • 31/4 cups water (depending on how thick you like your oatmeal)
  • 11/2 cups rolled oats (I used Bob's Red Mill Extra Thick Rolled Oats)
  • milk (or soy milk for serving, I used a combination of milk and vanilla soy milk, which is what I always use to eat on cereal.)

Directions

This recipe is extremely easy to use. Simply throw it all together (minus the milk) in the CrockPot and let it cook for a few hours until it starts to thicken up nicely.
